There are two types of vitamin:

Fat Soluble These vitamins are not required in the diet daily as they are carried around the body in fat and any excess is stored for future use.
Water Soluble These vitamins are required in the diet everyday as they are carried around the body in water and any excess is eliminated from the body by urine.

MINERALS are inorganic substances required by the body to function properly.

Beta Carotene Fat Soluble Provitamin Turns into Vitamin A in the body
Niacin
(also known as Vitamin B3)
Water Soluble Vitamin Helps produce energy from food, helps to keep the digestive and nervous system healthy
Potassium Mineral Controls fluid balance in the body, may also help lower blood pressure

Dietary Fibres
Soluble (Fruits)
Insoluble (Grains, nuts etc)
